Protein Energy Poppers

These bites are absolutely delicious and nutritious. They're incredibly simple and are a fantastic source of energy and protein. This is a good snack for the kids as they're running out the door, or a good natural source of energy pre workout or run. 

Let's jump into it: 

INGREDIENTS

1 cup old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter
1/2 cup ground flaxseed
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips (or vegan chocolate chips)
1/3 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

Stir all ingredients together in a bowl until thoroughly mixed. Cover and let chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour, two is best. 


Once completely chilled, roll these delicious morsels into balls of whatever size you would like. Then just pop them whenever you need a burst of natural protein. 

This recipe makes about 20-25 poppers.
